October #2

Natasha likes to pose for the camera. Below are two pictures, one a nice picture taken by our friend Dan and the other a shot of Natasha posing for Dan.

Natasha also likes to run straight at the camera and get as close as she can. Here are a couple pictures of her having fun doing just that.
Last we dressed Natasha up in the angel costume we got from Pat and Alicia for Halloween. Once she realised what was happening she took it very seriously, running as fast as she could to the next door and banging on the door if they didn't open it fast enough. We let her have a little bit of candy which she of course loved. The last picture is the pumpkin we carved, Billie drew the sketch and Ryan carved it out. Can you guess what it is? Mike Wazowski!!

October

So, not only are we bad about updating the blog, we are bad at taking pictures when we should. Back in October, Melynda and Zoe came out for Billie's b-day and the only pictures we took were of Natasha and Zoe in the bath. I think their eyes are almost exactly the same colour.

Shortly after Melynda and Zoe were here, Grandma Jan and Grandpa Dave came to visit. Again we hardly remembered to take any pictures but we managed to get a few. Here is Grandma with Natasha at the zoo.

And here is Grandma and Grandpa with Natasha just before they left. Unfortunately Natasha was not in a picture taking mood so we had to bribe her with the remote.

Pumpkin Farm

We went to a pumpkin festival with Tom and Joelle and Rylan. Natasha played with Rylan a bit but her favorite part was the gigantic slide. I think we went down it at least 6 times. Her mom went down it once with her but it was too scary, so she had to go down with her dad most of the time.

Sudbury

In September we went to sudbury to visit Kyle. Natasha really liked Kyle a lot and had a lot of fun. We went to the science museum and saw the butterflies, cool waterfall and Natasha got to be an astronaut. Natasha developed a love-hate relationship with Kyle's cat James. She also got to try both sushi and ribs for the first time and loved them both.

Natasha went to her friend Chloe's birthday in August and had lots of fun.

Natasha really enjoyed the cake.

Here is a picture of Chloe and Jen after cake and watermelon.

Zoo

There is a little zoo about half an hour away from us, and although Natasha doesn't really understand it yet, she has taken interest in a few wolves and monkeys, and notices a cat here and there. And, she likes to pat the zebra. It is a wonderful place for little kids, she can run free there!

Stained Glass Stuff

Here are the things I've made recently. The kitty is for me, the cherry tree for Rob and Angela, the moon for Melissa, and the purple tulips for Deanna. I also made a different kind of tree for Paul and Sarah, and a sunset for Lenka, but I forgot to take pictures of those!

The Climber

We got this climber for $25 at a garage sale yesterday. Natasha loves it. She has slid down, fallen down sideways, and head-first, and always gets back up for more.

Little Drummer Girl

Natasha likes all musical instruments, but the drums have to be her favourite. We bought her this drum set in Vancouver, it's awesome.

She Thinks She's So Funny...

Natasha loves acting like a goof. Here are some recent pictures, of her wearing her dad's shoes (which she put on herself), her eating markers (she loves to colour, and she also loves to put the caps back on the markers, and sneak a taste of ink here and there), and her climbing into the dirty mopping water (she loves the water!)

Cottage Party

A few weekends ago my big boss had a party at her cottage. Natasha could not get enough of the water, even though it was cold, she just kept running to it, trying to dive in (note, it is about 23 feet deep right off the dock - no shallow areas.) We could contain her for a bit in the round tube, but she could climb out pretty quickly.

The Hair Cut

Ryan insisted she didn't need one, but after a trip to the pool and her coming out from the water, and her hair being down to her lips, I decided, even though the curls were priceless, they needed to come off. Here are some before and after shots.

Happy Canada Day!

Walking!

Natasha had been taking a couple of steps here and there for quite some time, but on Friday, she pulled it all together. Now she is a walking champion! She is very careful changing directions, and taking her time, and really doesn't fall all that much! Here is one of her longer first walks.

Vancouver

Near the end of June, we took a trip out to Vancouver for my cousin Paul's wedding, to Sarah, who we love. We spent five days out there, visiting, drinking coffee, and eating sushi. Natasha was an angel on the way there and back, and had no trouble understanding why we love Vancouver so much. She went to the park, the aquarium, granville island, the wedding, visiting with Abby and Guillaume which included Korean BBQ (which she couldn't get enough of), the beach, and a dessert place (which she also couldn't get enough of!)

Bye Bye Hair

As a fundraiser for breast cancer, Ryan shaved his head at work. It looked pretty strange, him with no hair, but Natasha and I got used to it pretty quickly. He almost kept the mohawk, but ended up not. Curly mohawk. (Hehe).
